As an early Christmas present Danish Sound Network has just released a new analysis of the Danish Sound Industry 2013-2017 with the latest available financial statements. All good news. It shows an industry that contributes significantly to Denmark's overall economy with 1.11% of the Danish GDP in 2017.
The industry analysis, based on data from 570 companies across 92 business areas, reveals a positive trend in all key figures over the period from 2013-2017. The companies had a turnover of 29.69 billion DKK in 2013 and 24,387 employees, which increased to 39.60 billion DKK and a total employment of 29,909 in 2017. The industry's direct contribution to Danish GDP has risen from 0.87% in 2013 to 1.11% in 2017.
The purpose of the industry analysis is to provide an economic and structural overview of the Danish audio industry through an analysis of selected companies' key figures, geographic locations and industry codes. You can find the entire report here… (in Danish)
