Why Talent Attraction?

Danish Sound Cluster has started a "Talent Attraction" project in 2023, so that people in general - and talents in particular - get a better knowledge of the Danish sound ecosystem and the many opportunities for studies and jobs. The goal is to ensure long-term innovation by:

• Increase the number of new students for the studies in sound/acoustics at the educational institutions.
• Increase the number of new talents to vacant positions in the sound industry.

Why a joint "Talent Attraction" initiative?

A branding campaign of an entire sector is only possible with a joint effort. To define the activities, we have set up an Advisory Board/network consisting of selected industry members and external partners, who must help define, prioritize and execute the joint efforts going forward.

After the first 2 meetings, some concrete campaign opportunities have arisen in collaboration with Copenhagen Capacity / State of Denmark. In addition, at the upcoming meeting we will discuss our catalog of ideas and prioritize the efforts as well as discuss business models/economics.

• Welcome - quick introduction round. Brief about the Advisory Board vs. Network – background and success criteria.
• What has happened since the last time? – State of Denmark campaign + WSA award
• Discussion of upcoming activities, including
  • MIT European Career Fair, March 2, 2024
  • DSE Fair, DTU, 20-21. March 2024
  • "The common story-telling of Danish sound" - status and further work.
  • Mapping the need in the industry? The experiences from the survey in June 2023.
• Establishment of working group
• Funding – foundations and in-kind contributions
• Next meeting

The target group
