Noise from heat pumps and coal systems
August 25, 2021 @ 15.00 - 16.30
Heat pumps and air-to-air refrigeration systems produce a lot of noise and result in an increasing number of complaints from residents about noise nuisance in densely populated areas.
Data from the ISO standard used to classify noise are not usable for performing a comprehensive noise calculation at a neighboring boundary. The measurements conflict with the noise measurements according to the environmental legislation, which must describe the noise challenges in the real world.
Heat pumps are subject to the Danish Energy Agency's set of rules - with the Danish Environmental Protection Agency only on the sidelines, while noise as it is experienced by humans falls under the Danish Environmental Protection Agency. The Danish Energy Agency's focus is 'efficiency'. The noise challenge is thus a problem that ends up between two chairs. A better solution must be found now!
