Project Title: Concepts for new products or solutions Acoustic materials
Description:
For years, scattering effects have been a parameter that has not been documented, but has been an important property for many products. The properties can now be documented in Denmark.
This project is establishing and testing a measurement setup to be able to perform measurements of random incidence scattering coefficient according to ISO 17497-1 “Acoustics — Sound-scattering properties of surfaces Part 1: Measurement of the random-incidence scattering coefficient in a reverberation room”. The test is performed on a patent-pending acoustic glass wall from Tonax.
Through the project, the level of knowledge increased within the acoustic field, and via a newly added measurement method, document an acoustic parameter that can be used in the future by both the participating companies and other companies as a design criteria.
