You Will Meet

Mette Sørensen Research Group Leader at the Danish Cancer Society and Professor at Roskilde University.

Professor Mette Sørensen is a leading researcher in the field of traffic noise and health. Her work has been pivotal in expanding understanding of noise-related health effects, particularly for diseases not previously examined in this context. She was among the first to show associations between road traffic noise and several conditions, including stroke, diabetes, dementia, breast cancer, and infertility.

Mette has a master’s degree in human biology and holds a PhD in Environmental Epidemiology from Copenhagen University.

Nigel Oseland Environmental psychologist, workplace consultant, researcher, keynote speaker and author. 

Dr Nigel Oseland has extensive experience in workplace consulting and research, advicing organisations on redefining workstyles and rethinking workplaces to improve individual and organisational performance. He specialises in workplace strategy, design briefing and change management, helping create environments that support collaboration, creativity and concentration across sectors in the UK and EMEA.

In parallel, Nigel conducts independent research for corporate clients on how environmental conditions affect workplace occupants. He has collaborated for over a decade with Saint Gobain Ecophon on psychoacoustics and office noise, and is an international speaker and author of Beyond the Workplace Zoo, which explores how workplace design can enhance wellbeing and performance.
