• Surgery, Cochlear Implants:

  Steven Andersen will present: Temporal Bone Imaging and Simulation. Hear about how we use cone-beam CT to look into the patients’ middle and inner ear, about 3D printed models of the temporal bone for surgical training, and VR simulation for training and patient-specific preparation of the patient’s surgery.

• Spatial Hearing:

  Quirin Mühlberger will present that the goal of the spatial hearing lab at CHBC is to transfer the benefits of virtual acoustics, as e.g. known from the AVIL at DTU, to the clinic and the patients. This enables more realistic testing conditions for e.g. speech in noise tasks or hearing-aid and cochlear implant fitting. This presentation will give insight in the current work going on and give some outlook to new projects.

• Dizziness and Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV):

  Louie Rino Rogalla will do a short presentation on how examination of the eyes help doctors assess the inner ear, and how we use this information to automate diagnostics of dizziness. His Ph.D.  is on using computer vision and deep learning of eye-movements in the field of dizziness.

• Audiology – Audio Verbal Therapy: Signe Wischmann will give a short presentation on her PhD project on gamification in auditory rehabilitation. Her focus will be on developing and testing apps to children with hearing loss and their parents to use in clinical practice
