Another fantastic DANISH SOUND DAY in the books!

Thank you all for coming, staying curious, insisting on conversations and supporting our community celebration. Special thanks to our partners HARMAN, Treble and GN Group.

Big thanks to our exhibitors and everyone who contributed to making this a day to remember.

We can’t to do this again next year!

Danish Sound Award

PURIFI – Lars Risbo and Claus Neesgaard

Each year at DANISH SOUND DAY, Struer Kommune and Danish Sound Cluster present an award given to individuals or companies that have made an extraordinary impact on the Danish sound landscape.

This year, we are thrilled to recognize a company that embodies innovation and a pursuit of excellence. Their ambitious approach and groundbreaking work continue to inspire the entire community. On behalf of Struer Kommune Peter Petersen presented the award.

Mark Brooks Senior Director, Head of Chipset at Demant

Thank you for a fantastic Danish Sound Day at The Royal Danish Academy of Music.

I’m grateful to the Danish Sound Cluster for inviting me to join the panel discussion on Chip Design, where we had insightful conversations about chip development, and Denmark’s strengths in low-power chip technology for audio applications.

Great also to see some familiar faces from Demant, Eriksholm Research Centre, GN, WSA and others in the audio industry.

For anyone working in the audio space, I highly recommend attending Danish Sound Day and engaging with the Danish Sound Cluster — it’s a great way to connect with others in the field and stay updated on industry developments.

A big congratulations to Jeppe Lindegaard for organizing such a well-executed and inspiring event!

“Now it’s here! What was once wishful thinking is now being broadly rolled out and is possible to work with for even smaller companies and start-ups. It’s always exciting to discuss new possibilities with others who are passionate about great sound and better hearing. A couple of new ideas inspired me and there are a few things I need to look at in the lab — I think it can be done.”

Thomas was joined by Birgitte Folmann, speaking about the anthropological and human barriers, and Nanna Sofie Bjerre Jelsgaard, talking about the practicalities of working in theatres based on her experiences with the Royal Theatre.

Thank you Danish Sound Cluster! See you next year at Danish Sound Day – we’re already excited to hear about all the new ideas and applications!

Morten Brandstrup Head of Newstechnology at TV2 Denmark

Thank you to Danish Sound Cluster for hosting an inspiring Danish Sound Day 2025 and for bringing together key voices from across the audio and broadcast industry.
I had the privilege of moderating the session Wireless Audio – Mastering Live Sound Challenges, where our panel of experts provided valuable perspectives on:
🔹 The evolving technical and operational challenges driven by rapid innovation in live production
🔹 The ongoing spectrum constraints and the actions required to safeguard the future of wireless audio

A great discussion highlighting both the complexity and the opportunities in shaping the next generation of Wireless live and broadcast sound, something both DR – Danmarks Radio and TV 2 Danmark have focused on.

Tushar Verma Acoustics and Audiology Specialist at WSA

Danish Sound Day 2025 by Danish Sound Cluster was as much a blast as illuminating.

Got to see the state of the art in Danish audio, meeting familiar and new audio nerds was quite invigorating.

From AI/ML and Auracast in audio to directional MEMS loudspeakers and CI and consumer audio it was a wealth of new information.

A historic venue at the Royal Danish academy of music interspersed with musical performances and a one track intimate conference.

It’s amazing that such a passionate audio community exists in Denmark and it’s a privilege to witness it and learn from the masters.
Cheers to the Danish Sound Cluster for making it happen despite the funding setback.
