Which tests are necessary before you can launch your product on to the market and what is the process for getting the required testing and certification? EKTOS is accredited by DANAK, which means they can offer the necessary tests required in order to launch your product in a long list of foreign countries.

Niels Martin Jørgensen is the director of EKTOS here in Denmark. There are departments in Viborg, Struer and Copenhagen, as well as in Kharkiv and Ivano-Frankivsk in Ukraine. He will speak about CE marks in the EU, FCC and IC certifications in North America as well as VCCI certification for Japan. He is here to answer your questions about test for all kinds of audio and wireless consumer products.

Niels Martin Jørgensen, EKTOS

All consumer products are certified for safety, using national and international standards (i.e. CE, TÜV, UL etc.). This includes headphones and headsets, but the safety standards do not include measurements of the performance or quality of the products – which to a large extent is influenced by the audio performance. Some audio quality certification standards exist, primarily for communication devices, these include Microsoft Teams, Google Meet certifications etc. We will go through parts of these standards, and the different ways they try to measure and certify the performance of audio products, and how that relates to the user experience.

Tore Stegenborg-Andersen, FORCE

Tore Stegenborg-Andersen has an M.Sc. from the Technical University of Denmark. As a senior specialist at FORCE Technology, he has been working with subjective and objective audio performance measurements, and user experience of audio devices for more than 10 years.

Peter Petersen is the CEO of Soundhub Denmark, and has a long history in bringing products on to the market. He will be our moderator for this webinar.
