Danish Sound Award
Stefania Serafin and Dorte Hammerhoi, both professors at Aalborg University, were awarded with the Danish Sound Award (Dansk Lydpris) for the years 2020 and 2021. The prizes were handed over by John Fogde, Director for Struer Lydens By (in the picture it is Torben Vilsgaard, Danish Sound Cluster, holding the Sound Award)

How do we create workplaces that – from an acoustics perspective – are inclusive for everyone? Where co-workers can find room for both collaboration and knowledge sharing, as well as concentrated and focused working?
These were the overall themes of the Danish Sound Cluster and Royal Danish Academy seminar on March 23 “Acoustics in Open Plan Offices”.
This topic is multidimensional and deserves to be analyzed from a very different of angles. We were therefore happy that a diverse audience had chosen to spend the day with us. Industry profiles working with room acoustics, architecture, interior and workplace design, noise masking, human behavior design, acoustic materials, human resources, audio for meetings and conferences, consulting, standards (and many more) gathered to discuss the dilemmas but also potential solutions in this important field.
