Architecture x Acoustics

Project title: Architecture X Acoustics

Description:

This project is a user study that invites central actors from architecture, design, engineering, and manufacturing sectors to analyze and understand what knowledge and skill sets are missing to create better acoustics and instrumental collaborations across the disciplines and sectors.

The project is a strategic collaboration between The Royal Danish Academy – Architecture, Design, Conservation and the Technical University of Denmark, which covers the disciplinary fields and the contacts to industry partners.

The aim of the project is to provide a clear understanding and description of central thematic, methodological, technological, and didactic aspects, which are important for the industry and education, and what knowledge and method gaps currently present challenges and limitations in practice.

The project delivers knowledge and concrete insights about disciplinary and sector shortcomings to improve acoustic solutions and processes. It presents a series of recommendations for specific activities that should be initiated to close the identified gaps.
