AM Bootcamp – 3D printing workshop for SMEs in the sound industry

Join these bootcamps and AM summit as part of the project described below and get valuable input for product development in your own company.

Join the 3D printing workshops and gain solid knowledge of the technologies and their potentials in your business:  

  • For quick innovation and iteration with rapid prototyping 
  • For creating customized and highly complex products 
  • For the production of small batches 

Additionally, 3D-printing offers the potential to reduce material waste, eliminate expensive molds and tooling, and speed up time to market. 

Target groups 

You are from a SME or startup working with physical products in plastic or metal. You are either new to working with 3D print, or you could to some extent have started experimenting with 3D print, e.g. as prototyping tool for product development or for printing a few components. 

Please note that the workshop activities are part of a collaborative project (see details below).  Up to 3 persons from a participating company are welcome to join.

You will get: 

  • knowledge of and inspiration for the use of 3D printing 
  • help to develop ideas and define concrete opportunities for 3D printing in your business 
  • hands-on experience with design and printing 
  • a printed prototype of your idea 
  • sparring with Dansk AM Hub’s 3D print experts in technology, design, sustainability and business 

Project activities 

  • Short individual online meeting with DSC and Dansk AM Hub to start the project and assess the maturity level
  • Workshop #1 
  • Individual work between workshops: Participants create a file for printing based on a selected idea and have a prototype printed at Dansk AM Hub. Get sparring with the Danish AM Hub CTO in relation to design. 
  • Workshop #2 
  • You join the AM Summit – the largest conference in the Nordic’s for 3D printing. Option to exhibit at a mini stand 

Requirements from participants  

This project is financed by the Danish Board of Business Development. For documentation, Danish Sound Cluster needs to register private co-financing as “hours” from the participating companies.  

  • There is no participation fee for you and your colleagues, but you are required to register the hours you spend on the project.   
  • The companies sign ade minimis” statement  – DKK 120.000  
  • Minimum of 50 hours total to register pr participating company 
  • Up to 3 participants pr company
